Smart entrance systems are becoming increasingly important as homeowners, hotels, apartment operators and property developers seek more secure and convenient ways to manage access. Chinese smart security manufacturer TENON is responding with an AI-powered fully automatic armored smart door that combines biometric recognition, video monitoring, connected control and reinforced physical security.

At the center of the system is a multi-user access platform designed to provide several authentication options within a single door.

Users can access the door through 3D facial recognition, palm vein recognition, fingerprint, password, IC card, mechanical key and APP-based remote control. The combination is designed to accommodate different users and access preferences across residential and commercial environments.

The 3D facial recognition system incorporates live detection technology and is designed to distinguish genuine users from attempts involving photos or videos. With a response time of approximately 0.1–0.2 seconds, the system is designed for fast everyday entry.

TENON has also incorporated video and communication functions into the door. A 24-hour electronic peephole enables continuous monitoring, while remote visual intercom allows users to communicate with visitors. A high-definition indoor screen is available in 4-inch and 5.5-inch configurations.

The visual system is supported by dual AI cameras with a 140-degree wide-angle view, helping users monitor a broader area around the entrance.

Physical protection is provided by an armored door structure featuring a 90 mm multi-layer construction. A C-grade lock cylinder adds another layer of mechanical security, while a nano-coating is used to improve corrosion resistance.

The system is designed with environmental adaptability in mind. Its IPX6 water-resistant design makes it suitable for demanding outdoor and entrance environments, including markets with high temperatures and humidity. Installation compatibility extends across hinged doors, sliding doors, thermal-break aluminum doors and glass doors, with support for specified door thickness and depth requirements.

Long-term reliability is another key aspect of the design. The lock body is rated for up to 200,000 cycles, significantly supporting frequent-use applications. TENON also targets a service life of up to 15 years.

The power system uses a 7.4V lithium battery, with Type-C emergency power support for situations where additional power is required. A low-noise gearbox motor is designed for smooth operation, while TENON’s proprietary T-smart dual-core chip provides the processing foundation for the intelligent access functions.

The smart door is part of TENON’s broader intelligent security portfolio, which includes fingerprint smart locks, facial recognition locks, password locks and smart locks for glass doors.

As a manufacturer, TENON combines these product capabilities with substantial production resources. The company has more than 500 employees, a 20,000-square-meter manufacturing base, four imported PCB SMT production lines and more than 40 professional engineers.
